We hope that Members will feel happy to meet up together to sketch & photo wildlife this year. Take care to follow all Covid rules – Venues may require masks indoors including hides, & some require Online Booking. Several Members are “hosting” Visits this year – many thanks to them.

Walk-through wildlife adventure, with Big cats, Red panda, Rhino, but the real draw are the Polar Bears.   Masai Coffee house Café or picnic. Tickets online in advance cheaper at £19.

RUTLAND WATER, Lyndon Reserve, Manton, Oakham, Rutland LE15 8RN – Wednesday 13th April.  www.lrwt.org.uk 
Ospreys should be returning, plus wildfowl, passage waders & early Spring migrants. Also visit Egleton Reserve with same entry & parking tickets. 35 hides, good opportunities for sketching & photos. Adults £6, Concessions £5. Limited refreshments, bring a picnic.

SHAPWICK HEATH NNR, Avalon Marshes Centre, Shapwick Road, Westhay, Glastonbury, Somerset. BA6 9TT – Sunday 24th April.   www.avalonmarshes.org     
Visit the Somerset Levels for summer migrant birds, bitterns, cranes, great white egret, marsh harrier, possibly otter, roe deer. Hides. Parking £3 per day, Tea Shop. You will need to walk a few miles on flat ground to make the most of it.
